Dr. Rich Roberts, recently named one of the most influential Jewish republicans, hosted Tuesday U.S. Senator Bob Menendez for a private luncheon in a show of Hakaras Hatov (appreciation).

After joking about the fact that he’s hosting a democrat – though he’s hosted other democrats to – Dr. Roberts went on to thank the long-term Senator for his strong support for Lakewood, his stand on various issues that affect the Jewish community, his strong support of Israel and more.

The event, which took place at the home of Dr. Roberts, was attended by local officials and friends of Dr. Roberts.
