Dr. Rich Roberts announces plans for Chol Hamoed Carnival at the Lakewood Cheder

The 2017 Pesach Chol Hamoed carnival will be on Friday, April 14th, from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM at The Lakewood Cheder. There will not be a rain date.

Changes and Improvements

A. High stages so that everyone can see the shows.
B. Easy flow through hallways by staggered show times, shows inside and outside, and strollers only permitted in one hallway.
C. Petting zoo and juggler outside with nosh, snake puzzle prize, and cotton candy to occupy children between shows.

Parking – Two Cheder two-way parking entrances and the Orchas Chaim parking lot.

Layout – Shows inside the school lunchroom and outside the main entrance (weather permitting).
Cotton candy, chocolate bars, and prizes will be distributed outside the main entrance.
Lost children immediately outside the main entrance.

Young Children – if your child does not know your cell phone number then please write it on a piece of tape on the back of your child’s clothing. Lost children will be by the main school entrance.

Shows – ½ hour shows, performing 3 times each

A. Inside Stage:

Rabbi Yoel Ferber renowned storyteller from the popular CD ‘Itzikel’
Show times: 11:00, 12:30, 2:00

The Parrot Rebbe live active parrot show
Show times: 11:30, 1:00, 2:30

B. Outdoor Stage:

The Skyriders acrobatic trampoline team
Show times: 11:15, 12:45, 2:15

Wacky Chad! tricks and stunts on a tiny bicycle, handstands on a skateboard and award winning pogo stick show
Show times: 12:00, 1:30, 3:00

Sponsor – This is a B’lev Echad event that is organized and operated by B’lev Echad. The cost is being deferred by Kollel Ner Avrohom, Inc. for this religious celebration.

Cost – Everything is free. Nothing will be available to be purchased or paid for.

Objective – To provide a kosher and sweet Chol Hamoed event for children while helping to relieve some of the financial burden on Frum families.

I’m sure a lot of time and effort goes into planning everything to the last detail and we really appreciate it! The jump rope show that we watched on sukkos my kids r still talking about and we’re looking forward to the next chol hamoed event! Thank you so much!!

  4. We brought my son for his upsherin to the cheder last week and all he took one look at the parking lot and said “right they have big animals over there” – He was only 2 1/2 by the last carnival but boy does he remember it!
