Regina Lassitar, the DPW employee caught on tape cursing at a resident attempting to drop off his trash seven minutes before closing time, has been suspended for one day, sources tell TLS.
The employee used the vulgar language at the resident after reluctantly allowing the resident to drop off his trash the DPW drop-off site seven minutes before the closing time – when she already had the entrance blocked off with her vehicle.
Despite her denial of the incident, Lassitar, an employee for about six years, was suspended for one day, without pay, after the DPW investigated the incident and the evidence provided.

Shameful! It takes 2 months to ‘investigate’ a recorded incident? …and she still denies it? A one day suspension, that’s a laugh.
1 day?? What type of punishment is that?
Where’s the justice! this is a joke that the township would tolerate such behavior. I guess you can talk to people in any manner. This is very sad.
what a joke i was thinking at least 1 month without pay
cursing?
denying?
lying?
short timing the job?
years of abuse to the community?
apologizing?
community service?
three strikes -out loss of retirement?
the agency represents usage of my money and I expect her to realize who pays her salary. that she doesn’t deserve.
Next time will be one year! We should monitor her behavior..
Just a thoughtless incident is perhaps understandable. The follow up denying is concerning.
No one should be spoken to like that and a place of business should not be closed one minute before closing time. Blocking an entrance????? No way…
All these Negative comments about the Dpw employees if it wasn’t for them and the nonsense they go through on a day to day basis. In my eyes opening dpw on Sundays for Bulk drop off is not right It’s don’t you think six days a week is enough and just to come and toss one small bag of who knows what it unbelievable in my Eyes
i have read that this person often closes the entrance before closing time and has been rude to those who maintain that there is still time on the clock.– why is she still working there if her behavior continues to be obnoxious?—i believe this is the same woman who was manning the bulk trash phones –and was beyond terrible to the callers- (i actually called the supervisor when she spoke to me in a crude manner)–i was told that she was re-assigned—perhaps it is time to replace her.
