Dog Which Severely Injured Infant, Put Down; Child Recovering

The dog which bit and severely injured a Lakewood infant last month, has been put down, Detective Captain Paul Daly tells TLS. The family of the child, whom the dog belonged to, spent some time with the dog before it was put down by a family veterinarian, Daly said. The dog was believed to be mixed-breed, Daly says.

The 11 month old who lost an ear due to the incident, is recovering, said Daly. TLS.

Did they take into account the dog’s childhood? Do they know if it was bullied as a puppy? Did they seek counseling for it before taking such brutal action?
