UPDATE 7:45 PM: The fire has spread to 30 acres, with 0% contained.
Suspicious?!
where’s the governor? also trying to run for the white house? what about sending some troopers from trenton to battle this real danger?
What do you expect troopers to do? Write tickets? Or are you angry you’ve been issued a ticket by them in the past? Hmmmmm
When I was growing up large swaths of Jackson and outlying areas burned (c 1950-1965). All of the development hasn’t helped.
I belive the development would help prevent these types of fires due to the fact that it would be eliminating the brush which helps fuel the fires etc , agreed?
I could only agree with you if I were to ignore decades of wildfire science and the impact of developments on water tables.
We live on Jackson Mills Road, across from the fire. Although things seem back to normal now, I would like to make a shout out to all the heroes!!! The firemen who worked endlessly fighting the blaze, the police officers who endured all the smoke and ash in the air. Most importantly. To the new Kollel members of the Jackson Mills Kollel, who had to fight with the police officers to get in to learn. Someone said we should rename the Kollel, Aish HaTorah!!!!
