The SWAT team was requested to respond to a barricaded subject in Lakewood this evening.
The subject in question barricaded himself approximately 10:30 PM.
Members of the LPD negotiating team are trying to communicate with him. It’s unknown at this time if he’s armed.
UPDATE: Police have gotten the subject to surrender, and he was hospitalized for an evaluation.

It’s a lie! I wasn’t barricading myself! I got locked inside my bathroom and couldn’t get out! I called Chaverim, but they told me they don’t make bathroom calls.
It’s not bad enough I had to spend several hours in solitary confinement inside a bathroom, but I’m also labeled a barricader!

What’s wrong with barricading? Is that also illegal nowadays? Is everything illegal besides smoking weed?
Not nice to joke about Chaverim! They most definitely DO help with bathroom lock-ins! As well as anything else you need. Chaverim deserves more recognition and appreciation! Please find a better way to joke around. That was poor taste.
Tzippy, it would seem that all the jokes about a possible armed and dangerous individual who required the intervention of SWAT is in poor taste, especially in light of recent events in Texas.
