Legislation adding electronic cigarettes to Delaware’s indoor smoking ban is about to become law, according to a report in NBC.
New Jersey currently allows for the use of e-cigarettes in public indoor places, though the device isn’t FDA approved.
The chief sponsor of the legislation says e-cigarette emissions contain nicotine and other harmful chemicals, including chromium and nickel.
Should other states ban the cigarettes too?
NO!!!!! Let people live their own life!!! Government: mix out!!!!
That’s what u call living? Find another hobby that isn’t harmful! Maybe all these laws will finally rid everyone of these awful addictions!
PLEASE ban it in new jersey. Why do I have to smell that horrible smell wherever I go cause someone has an addiction. It is extremely selfish to smoke it indoors
Thats a lie there are no harmful substances in ecigs it is made out of medical grade liquid the same stuff used in hospitals and nicotine while being addictive is not harmful funny how the state with the lowest cigarette taxes wants to ban ecigs. well you guessed, Delaware now make billions on cigarette sales from everyone in NJ NY PA & MD so no wonder they dont like ecigs
Maybe the Government should outlaw real cigarettes and end this problem all together. Oh wait the Politicians would loose large campaign donations from the tobacco lobby. If you think about it, the Politicians don’t care about our health but the lobbyist money. I would bet if the e-cigarette companies got a big lobby and made large donations, all of a sudden the e-cigarettes would be a healthy substitute to cigarettes. It’s all about the money!!
So while the country is moving towards legalizing pot, they are banning e-cigs. That sounds like “progress”
while Boruch Hashem I do not smoke. Im wondering why it should be banned when all ecigs really are is just oxygen or mist coming out
You guys are missing the point! Live and Let live!!! who cares what its made of everyone chooses what they do!
And dont try to compare this to marriage equality! I am against marriage equality and I do not use the same logic of live and let live there!

I don’t know what “horrible smell” you are talking about, unless you are referring to regular cigarettes, E-Cigs have no odor whatsoever.
Um…. It has been banned for 5 years already.

In January, 2010, an amendment was passed, which banned the use of electronic smoking devices – “e-cigarettes” – in indoor public places and workplaces and the sale to people 19 years and younger. The amended law became effective March 13, 2010. This is the first state law of its kind in the nation with the New Jersey Senate and Assembly both voting unanimously in favor of the law.

According to your logic the government should mandate everyone to take a shower every night
100% they should it should be baned if u whant to smoke go somewhere where no one else is so they dont have to breathe in the disgusting smoke
The government needs to mind it’s own business. How much more are they going to tell us what we can and cannot do in our personal lives. It’s funny, beer , wine , hard liquor accounts for more deaths than cigarettes. I have never ever heard of a cigarette causing an accident where so many have been killed. Let the elected officials do some real work like taxes, cost of living issues etc !!!!
!
@Zev-I’m aware of all that and never understand why it’s not enforced?
Those goofy contraptions do give off a smell and I resent having it in my face.
Smell is hardly a reason to ban e-cigs. Should smelly deli sandwiches be banned too? And there is no evidence that they are actually harmful. so live and let live. Besides they smell like strawberry banana.
