  1. Lets review the candidates: one has been on the board for 10 years while the public schools have failed year after year. The same person has raised the budget year after year until last year. Residents of Lakewood, wise up- vote for fiscally sound candidates who care about the children.

  2. yisroel (fred) friedman is the best candidate. He helped the affordable housing come through and is a true asset to our community

  3. One person has done a great job in the past and has children in the public school. He is actually the head of the PTA. This person should be a shoe in if you really care about the children. This past year we have seen many chnages to Lakewood schools. Hopefully one day we will once again have passing schools with a budget that is 10% below last years budget. We need to bring pride back to Lakewood.
We have many people who have there own agenda for greed, please don’t let them influence your vote.

  4. Zecharia Greenspan is a great candidate. he is a true askan. He started Yeshivas Bais Meir along R’ Shlomo Friedman. He has no personal agenda other than to help the klal. He will see to it that each child’s needs will be taken care of. He is a tremendous asset to our community

  5. Abe Ostreicher is definitely my number one choice. Yes he has been there for ten years, but every decision he makes is based on an in depth and mature look on the overall situation. He also asks shailos constantly on how to vote (I wonder hoe many of our new members do that). Jumping on the “change change change” bandwagon is not automatically the way to go. Believe it or not his number one goal is the tzibbur at large.

  6. As I review your comments, I don’t see where Mr. Greenspan would assist the public school students of Lakewood. You very clearly have described his accomplishments as an asset to the “community” but none of those accomplishments benefited both the private and public school students equally.
In addition, is not the use of the term Klal a shortened version of Klal Yisrael? This implies an exclusion of the non-orthodox residents and children. The BOE needs members that will work to resolve the public education issues, and not have only “community” tunnel vision .

  7. Let’s try to avoid electing people that will continue the “Train Wreck” that was started by those new members elected in the previous election. Has a anyone had their taxes reduced???? Are we getting better services????

  8. To number 16. He is a person for the people, a person with strong morales and beliefs in educating the children from LAKEWOOD.

  9. I see a wonderful outpouring of enthusiasm of residents to volunteer their time and skills to help the Lakewood School District. It is my sincere desire to be one of the the three candidates that win the election, and I will work hard to be one of the candidates of choice.

The new BOE members are fortunate because of the hard work and dedication of the sitting members, the administration, and the professionals that serve the Lakewood School District.

  10. because the law is no taxation without representation! and we orthodox pay 90% of all Lakewood tax monies! (for all you skeptics – do your own search, block by block, including all the synogogue deductions – don’t buy the hogwash libels from slanted people- each synogogue averages 75 families serviced. so perhaps 1 in 75 buildings isn’t taxed – IF the township accepts their 501(c)3 applications… – do yourselves another favor: check the rental properties that house the majority of public school children, you’ll see that even there, majority orthodox owned – hence othodox property tax payers)

  11. Go Rosie !

    He’s a real straight shooter!
Why in heavens name he would want to get involved in this mess is beyond me. But I wish him much success
    Go Rosie!

  12. I fear that too many candidates from the frum community just breaks up the frum voting block. If we want our children represented and serviced we should unite!

  13. WAY TO GO # 14. YOU ARE THE ONLY COMMENT FROM A THINKING PERSON. ABE OSTREICHER IS THERE FOR THE ENTIRE LAKEWOOD, AND NOT JUST AN INDIVIDUAL GROUP. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, AND THANK YOU

  14. My vote is going to Yisroel Freedman, as I feel he has the talent and understands the diversity in lakewood.he is a guy that the BOE can really use.

  15. The Tea Party endorses Ira aka Rosie.
We expect great changes with Ira . His talent for getting things done in a straight forward no frills approach is something that Lakewood can and will benefit from.

    Good Luck Ira

  16. KLAL YISROEL means the people of israel. Klal by itself means “the people”. Mr. Greenspan will be good for the people- everyone.

  17. That if anything would make me NOT vote for him. Affordable housing? You mean distribution of wealth or increasing the crime rate in our town? Which one was the objective?

  18. Every guy here is busy saying which ONE member they support. Great! There are 3 seats available! I vote for Shui, Rosie, and Mandel!

  19. A public school parent better get voted in, on that public school board. This seems to be a very one sided board. It is unacceptable. There are other tax payers in this town that also have rights. And I sure hope to see some one of color on that board or there will be an issue of discrimination.
