[FORM] As earlier reported, this year’s Township Committee Republican Primaries will be taking place on Erev Shavuos. If you’d like to vote but won’t be able to make it on that day, you may apply for a Mail-in ballot. If you are a qualified and registered voter, you can request the ballot by written application to the Clerk’s office. Requirements are that you sign your name as it appears in the registry book.
The deadline for such requests are 7 days before any and all elections (Primary, General, School, etc.) Any Mail-in voter who fails to apply by the deadline, may apply in person to the office on any day up to 3:00 P.M. of the day before the Election. TLS.
Ur coverage of the upcoming elections has been fantastic. I re cently saw an ad and it says ” we lowered the tax levy for the ppast 2 yrs” or s/thing like that. Did I miss something ? My taxes went UP the last 2 yrs. Maybe they meant my assesment went doen. That could be. But my rate went up to 2.29. I don’t get it. Anyway, I’m voting for Hershel.
It’s important to vote for Hershkowitz, because Lakewood is in a bad state now, with high real estate taxes. I think Hershal Hershkowitz is the only candidate who has a chacne to lower it.
To #1, 2 and any other misguided followers aka voters of Mr. Hershkowitz. I am a voter and someone who has been around quite a long time when it comes to Lakewood politics. First and foremost, a vote for Mr. Hershkowitz is misguided and just plain wrong. Any individual who degrades, promotes nagativity and just plain rants about nothing important tp the average voter doesnt deserve our support. Here are the facts: Lakewood went through a re-evaluation recently which is required by law. Therefore, your taxes were bound to increase. There is a system in place that comps are utilized to determine values, etc. This had and has absolutely nothing to do with the members of the township comm. That is a fact. The fact that your property was worth more when it was re-evaluated is not something out of the ordinary every ten years, this happens. When you want public services such as police, fire, ems, public works, etc., you have to pay for them…money doesnt grow on trees! This candidate that you seem to promote will do nothing for the town or the people of the town, his ideas are all talk and he rants and rants about nothing. If you sat down and learned many of the issues facing Lakewood and just about every other community in the State of NJ, you will see that the State of NJ needs to lower our taxes! Langert and Halverson have my vote and all of my friends and their friends!

i tried langert last time didn’t help i would give herschkowitz a shot this time once for all will see if he could really help or just talk .
I wish that R Schenkolowski would make his choice known far enough in advance that I could get my mail-in-ballot in on time. I haven’t voted the last few elections because by the time I knew who he endorsed, it was too late to mail it in.

Herschel is dead right, but we will not benefit one iota from his ideas, as it will be a constant battle with the other 4. Who doesn’t want half an apple rather than nothing at all-The choice is yours, not really. Facts speak louder than theories. As an arm chair General he’s great, but from battle experience his grand plan is doomed from the start.
Hal may get the most votes if HH and Steve split the other vote.
take a good look at the candidates, and decide who will be the person that will make a change and take this town seriously, the politics and what has gone on well, it will be out in the open with hershal.

The way to put Herschel in is ; to vote ONLY for “Herschel” its called bulleting! If a group vote only votes for 1 person the even if they are the minorty they can get there man into 2nd place, as some from other group may also vote for him (like some1 may vote “langert& Herschel even if Herschel doesn’t like it) the reson HH is doing it is becouse he wants Langert out ! But he may lose his 2nd place becouse he discouraged a langert-Herschel vote also as a option & for not makeing a “HH” only vote his slogen

While I agree that re evaluation is required the flaw with your thinking does not take into account home values have been a steady decline for the last two or more years ,my home is worth almost 100,000 less than whenit was at highest value yet my taxes have increased!!!!!!!!!
