As first reported on TLS Groups, a New Jersey State Trooper was struck by a vehicle this evening while tending to a multi-vehicle accident scene on the Garden State Parkway, officials confirmed to TLS.

The accident happened shortly before 7:00 PM at mile marker 89 in Lakewood (the timestamp on the video is off).

At least three vehicles were involved in the accident, including one that overturned on its side.

A New Jersey State Trooper investigating the scene was struck by a passing vehicle. He was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
