Dashcam Guy: Narrowly Escaping A Horrible Collision

dash picVIDEO: The Dash-cam guy is at it again, catching all types of serious violations on camera, helping out the community by bringing these occurrences to the attention of motorists. This video was submitted to TLS with the following description: While driving down a 40 MPH road, this school bus driver attempts to pull out directly in front of me. We were lucky there was a wide median on this specific section of the road otherwise this could have resulted in a horrible collision.

This video and other similar ‘Caught on Camera’ videos are posted on TLS for all to see as an awareness to use more caution on the roads, and perhaps prevent serious accidents by exercising more courteous driving habits. By Hoblitt.

  1. Why didn’t dashcam guy stop for the boy on the bike, who is apparently waiting to cross the road? It’s after he passed the bus pulling out.

  2. to # 5, you can never know what someone at a corner is doing, but if they are not an an intersection controlled by a light, or at a MARKED crosswalk, you have no obligation to stop..

  3. #5 Anonymous..Are you kidding me?!?! You want ‘dash cam guy’ to just stop right there and let the boy cross the road???? You are part of the reason there are so many accidents. That’s dangerous and stupid!

  4. To??:
I have this to say to you: !*?# – *#*
If you are from these parts you would realize that Dashcam Dude was traveling on Central/New Egypt where the speed limit is between 40 and 45 mph. The bus did not come to a complete stop. Renegade.

  5. Noone is saying that the bus driver should be fined or fired etc. Yes maybe he missed dashcams car….this just is a a great visual demonstration with regard to how careful and vigilant one has to be when driving.

  6. hey, its your kids that are on these busses. its up to you to do something about it. me, i wouldnt put my kids on a bus in lkw for all the tea in china.

  7. From what I can tell, if Dash Cam guy can see the driver of the bus at the point that the bus is almost stopped, then the bus driver should have been able to see Dash Cam guy. My guess is that the bus driver looked to the right first knowing about the hard curve to his right, rolling through the stop sign before looking to the left in order to get a better view of the right. This is why they teach you “left, right, then left again.” You have to admit it’s a tough turn for the bus driver, but no excuse to stick his nose that far out into the lane, especially after not having come to a complete stop. I hate to say it really, but I’m seeing an awful lot of bad bus drivers lately.
