Rita’s of Lakewood has reached out to TLS in an effort to locate a customer who was apparently charged $143.89 after accidentally clicking an order 127 times at the store’s kiosk.
The customer came to Rita’s at approximately 4:25 p.m. on Friday, September 11, and ordered one large custard with cookie dough bites. However, the order appears to have been submitted 127 times, resulting in the $143.89 charge.
Rita’s is hoping to locate the customer so she can be contacted and refunded for the erroneous charge.
Anyone who believes they may be the customer is asked to contact Rita’s of Lakewood.

U possibly can refund the charge in your merchant services account. Some people may be embarrassed to come forward, even to go extreme and say it was not them.
Why can’t they just refund the card?
The store can always give a refund on the credit card portal just by issuing the refund. The store doesn’t need to find the customer.

There is not one item on Rita’s menu that when ordering 127 of it, will it cost only $145.
