PHOTOS: [UPDATED] Ocean County’s K9 units were summoned to Lakewood once again – this time for an unattended item left near the Hatzolah garage on West County Line Road.
The item was found on top of a fire hydrant, just outside the emergency garage, at the intersection of Heathwood Avenue and West County Line.
Lakewood Police have shut the intersection as they await the dog.
UPDATE: 11 AM: The item turned out to be non-hazardous.

p u l e e s e give me a break, it’s probably nothing.
Enough already! Why are we so paranoid??
give the PD a call and tell them you volunteer to open up every suspicious package that is reported to alleviate the work burden. Better to be safe then sorry, but it does tie up resources which can be better used if people just did not leave their stuff laying around town.
Better safe then sorry
