County K-9 Called In For Unattended Package

UPDATED: County’s K-9 units are being called in for an unattended package, an official said. The package was discovered about 10:50 PM near the intersection of Madison Avenue and 8th Street.

Police and te Lakewood Fire Department have staged in the area.

The area around the package has been taped off as they await the bomb-sniffing dogs.

UPDATED: The scene has been cleared. The package turned out to be an old suitcase, police say. TLS-89/TLS-CCP.

  1. wah wah wah, you #1 & #2 whine like a bunch of babies. Would you rather, the package be “cynicized” by people like yourselves and then it blow up? What would happen if it was in front of your property or you were standing nearby?

  2. will somebody please explain why people are leaving empty suitcases around Lakewood? This has got 2 be the third time, if not more., that this has happened.
