Gov. Chris Christie on Sunday said members of the media should utter two words over their coverage of the George Washington Bridge scandal: “I’m sorry.”
“When you’re exonerated, the people who wrongly accused you should have the guts to stand up and say, ‘I’m sorry,'” the governor and Republican presidential candidate said during a television interview on “Fox News Sunday. “But of course, these people don’t do that.
“I’ve apologized to the people of New Jersey for putting those people in the position to be able to do what they did,” he added. “But I will tell you something: I will not allow people to mischaracterize my public record over false allegations, and that’s exactly what these were.” Read more in Star Ledger.
Why don’t you apologize and say I’m sorry for not upholding your duty to the payments of the State Employees Pension Fund.
Leave Christie alone! I feel that he is an honest and upstanding person. He knows how to get things done and would make a great president!
