A child was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle this evening, officials say.
The nine year-old child boy was struck at the intersection of Van Buren and New Central Avenue shortly after 8 p.m.
Hatzolah and Police responded to the scene and found the child semi-conscious, officials said.
He was transported by Hatzolah Paramedics to Jersey Shore Medical Center with a head injury, officials said.
Lakewood’s Traffic & Safety division is investigating the incident.
