To further meet the need for Pediatric services in the Lakewood community, CHEMED is pleased to welcome Dr. Harvey Hirsch to its team of quality pediatric physicians. Dr. Hirsch, a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, will be returning to practice in Lakewood after 17 years of private practice in Manalapan.
During his time in Manalapan, Dr. Hirsch was awarded the NJ Top Doctor Award 2011 by NJ Monthly Magazine and the NJ Favorite Kids Doctor 2012 by NJ Family Magazine Dr.
Hirsch will start seeing CHEMED patients on Thursday, January 3rd.
Dr Hirsch is a fantastic pediatrician loved by adults and children alike. We are so excited to be able to see him at chemed.Wishing him much hatzlochah!!!

My children are grown now but Dr. Hirsch was their doctor when they were young and we love him. Chemed and Lakewood are fortunate to have such a wonderful man caring for their children. Good Luck Dr. Hirsch!

OMG??? I can’t believe this. He is my son’s pediatrician at Wee Care Ped. I guess was. This is an awful way to find out. Guess I’m switching practices 🙁
I had no idea that Dr. Hirsch was leaving Wee Care. I’m so saddened to hear that. Dr. Hirsch is not only a wonderful doctor, but he is a sensitive, genuinely caring person. Thank you Dr. Hirsch for taking such good care of my children and for all of the support that you provided me. You will be missed.

Hatzlocha Dr Hirsch. A great doctor but most important a great mentch.
Dr. H is nothing short of a legend. Found out today to my utter shock dismay and disbief that he left wee care 🙁 But Lakewood isn’t too far…see you soon Dr H! Will call to have our records transfered. Had my oldest son not Fractured his foot we would never have found out he was practicing in Lakewood, some things may just be meant to be.
One of my children was colic and Dr. Hirsch would call me every other day to make sure I was doing ok. That’s when I knew that he wasn’t just my children’s doctor but a real mensh, a friend, a confidante. He is a sweet and caring man; Lakewood is lucky to have him! Somehow I think there will be a caravan of cars heading south on Rt 9 from the Manalapan area. Best wishes at your new place and looks like your commute will be really easy…..no more driving far in snowstorms!!
Our family is deeply saddened that Dr. Hirsch has left his practice after all these years. I knew he had taken time off as he was not feeling well in November. We were thrilled that he returned in December and now he is gone again in January. Best of luck to a great doctor and person.
We wish he was more forthcoming about this move to Chemed. Wee Care is a wonderful practice and we will continue to go there.

We wish Dr. Hirsch all the best! Had we had known he was changing locations, we would have followed. We were told he retired from Wee Care due to health issues! He has been my sons pediatrician his whole life, 13 years and has always been in contact with us when my son was sick, even though his office was closed! He’s a very special, caring person! We may just have to commute to Lakewood! It’s hard to find a Dr like him.
