An Uber driver was going about his business, when he responded to a job at an address in Toms River – but the call was anything but the usual, TLS has learned.
Police say the Uber driver went to pick up and transport an unknown black male – described as approximately 5’9 200 lbs – answering to the name Liam. But upon arrival, “Liam” only wanted his duffel bag transported to NYC.
The Uber driver drove off, but then felt uncomfortable and suspected it to be filled with illegal drugs. He contacted the Seaside Heights Police Department.
Seaside Heights officers opened the duffel bag, and found it to be full of marijuana and gummies.
The Toms River Police Department was contacted, and an investigation is underway.
My sources are now telling me that Seaside Heights Police received a phone call about 5 minutes ago from a NYC resident inquiring about a lost duffel bag filled with marijuana.
“Was that YOUR marijuana inside the Uber vehicle?” the police asked him.
“No,” he replied, “the marijuana is not mine; you can keep the marijuana; but the duffel bag is mine. When is a good time for me to pick up the duffel bag from you guys. Is 2:30 okay? I’m going to the gym today, and I need that duffel bag.”
WTH??????? I don’t know who was more high…..Liam calling the uber in the first place or the NYC guy looking for the missing ‘gym’ bad! lol
