During the month of December, the Brick Township Street Crimes Unit (SCU) responded to multiple shoplifting calls at Target and Ulta, resulting in five arrests. On December 1, 2023 Darien Wagner, 49 from Brooklyn, NY, was arrested for shoplifting at Target. Wagner was processed and released on a summons. On December 6, 2023 Jacquelyn Best, 38, from Toms River, was arrested for shoplifting at Ulta. Best was processed and lodged in Ocean County Jail. Adrianna Nieves, 19, from Lakewood, was arrested and charged with shoplifting at Ulta on December 6, 2023. Nieves was processed and released on a summons.
On December 15, 2023, Brick Police received a call to Target for a shoplifting in progress. SCU responded and arrested Sara Reagoso, 34, of Browns Mills, and Ronald Kay 3rd, 32, of Pemberton. Reagoso was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, shoplifting, possession of shoplifting tools, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and obstruction. Kay 3rd, was charged with possession of shoplifting tools, receiving stolen property, possession of heroin and methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. During the investigation, both Reagoso and Kay 3rd were found to be operating a stolen motor vehicle. The motor vehicle was processed by Brick Police and returned to the owner. Both Reagoso and Kay were processed and lodged in Ocean County Jail.
On December 21, 2023 Patrol Units responded to Ulta for a shoplifting in progress. Ptl. James Albanese arrested Daniel Leon-Forero, 39, of Queens, NY. Leon- Forero was charged with shoplifting and possession of shoplifting tools. SCU was requested to assist with a search warrant application on the suspect’s vehicle which was subsequently impounded. Leon- Forero was lodged in Ocean County Jail.
Seems like they come from out of town/state because they think no one will recognize them. Then you have the other two who steal a car to go shoplifting with their drugs on them. Genius!
Seems they come from NY because they think we also have the No Bail law and we will not prosecute for under 1000 dollars. Surprise – they are wrong!I hope the word will spread that New Jersey isn’t New York!
