The Lakewood high school was placed on a brief lockdown this afternoon after Police received a report of a student possibly armed with a gun, officials confirmed to TLS.

Police responded to the High School at approximately 12:30 PM and began searching the school. No gun was found, and the lockdown was lifted a short time later.

”There was no weapon found and no more lockdown,” a school official told TLS.

An investigation is underway.
