FIRST REPORT: [UPDATED] Committeeman Ray Coles has just informed TLS that he will be running for re-election this year. “I have to admit that I am overwhelmed at the amount of support and encouragement I have received from all over town to seek office again. I spent a lot of time discussing this with my family, friends and even some Republicans in town and I have come to the conclusion that I am going to run for committee again”, Committeeman Coles said in a statement to TLS this afternoon.
“If I had to pick a single tipping point it was my youngest daughter’s worry that she would be the only one of my 3 children who did not have a chance to vote for me. At least I hope she plans on voting for me!”, Coles said.
The Mayor, a Republican is very pleased with the Democrat’s announcement.
“I am thrilled the hear that he will be running again”, Mayor Menashe Miller told TLS. “Ray is a service oriented Committeeman who always goes above and beyond the call of duty to assist a constituent in their time of need”, the Mayor said. TLS.
