BREAKING: Jackson Planning Board Approves New Cheder Plans

The Jackson Township Planning Board approved the application for the planned Jackson Boys Cheder at its meeting tonight.

According to the application, the building, located on a 12-acre site off Brewers Bridge Road, will have the capacity for nearly 1,400 elementary school students.

Facing questioning from the board, a representative for the school added that there will be two armed security guards on duty during school hours and there will be no major food deliveries during the day other than food, trash and Amazon.

Prior to tonight’s hearing, the school received site approvals from the Jackson Municipal Utilities Authority for sewer and water services.

  1. So I am a little confused with the last paragraph “there will be no major food deliveries during the day other than food, trash and Amazon” Why is food being delivered if you state no major food deliveries?

  2. Food Coma: maybe if a class makes a siyum and they’re having pizza or donuts delivered as a reward? Or if the support staff is ordering lunch because the school is too far to make driving to get food inconvenient? There are many reasons.

  3. Since my last comment wasn’t posted, maybe someone can answer this question for me. Where is the money for all the extra busses going to come from?

  4. As someone who lives in the neighborhood I am highly disappointed that the Cheder was given approval in middle of a residential area.

  5. 1 hall takes tuition down 3000.
2 halls take it down 6000.
If they do 3, tuition will be free.
I they do 4 halls they can support the poor parents who send their zaddikim to the Cheder.

    • And if they do 5 halls, they can compensate all of us in the neighborhood who moved here to get away from the over-development…

  6. Am I going to be compensated for moving to Brewers Bridge 6 years ago after regrettably leaving Lakewood, where we lived for 25 years due to the removal of all the wetlands, over-development without regard to infrastructure, flooding etc. So many of us chose Jackson because there was a strong code of keeping the community residential, quiet, not cutting down trees etc. Where next?

  7. Is this just approved building complex being built where there is already a large plot of land already cleared??? or are a new batch of trees going to be cleared?
