BREAKING: Former BOE Attorney Michael Inzelbuch rehired as Board Attorney

Former longtime Lakewood Board of Education attorney, Michael Inzelbuch, has been rehired as the Board Attorney.

The announcement came moments ago at the Board of Education meeting.

Inzelbuch, who specializes in special education around the state, served on the Board of Education for approximately 10 years, until he was replaced in 2012.

All board members, except one, voted for the appointment.

He will replace the current law firm.

Just curious why they did not hire Aaron Arthur Lang Esquire who brought the suit against the state on his own time to straighten out Lakewood school funding

If you listen to the resolutions, you will hear that the previous law firm, represented by Marc Zitomer, will be staying on with the District in a consultant position. He wasn’t at the meeting last night because that would have put undue pressure on the board members to choose him, which is unfair.

I always say, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. So who from the Public School community chose to apply for the vacancy on the BOE? I guess we’ll find out Monday night. They didn’t put up a candidate the last time there was a vacancy. I guess they just like to complain. Hey, some people are like that. What a shame.

If Mr.Inzelbuch chooses the position of board attorney, will he also hold his prior positions with special education for the public schools? Does that entitle him to a NJ pension? Will he draw more than one salary? What is the cost?

Why does the district need Mr.Zitomer as a consultant? What are his fees?
