The body of a missing man was found near the river in Toms River a short time ago, authorities confirmed to TLS.
Firefighters were requested to assist in recovering the body.
The body of John Applegate, 32, of Beachwood, was discovered in an area of water between Lakehurst Road and Route 37 in Toms River. Mr. Applegate had been missing since March 24. His body was located by a family friend who had volunteered to assist with the search. The decedent was transported to Community Medical Center pending a post-mortem examination.

I go by that area all the time, they said end of Lakehurst Rd. and Rt. 37. It’s rite at that corner where the gas station is, where the heck is there any water damn and enough that u die. Strange but sad.
