What ? Another shooting ? Do our local Law Enforcement Professionals have any idea what is behind the sudden uptick in violent crime in our neighborhoods ? This is becoming way to common for is to ignore. Thx for understanding.
It is amazing how after years of quiet Lakewood is reverting back to the old days of the late 80’s early 90’s when this type of crime was regular. Maybe instead of just showing up to give tickets, the state police can assist in getting to the bottom of the uptick in violent crime and break ins.
We now live in a big city. Get used to it.
To “So Sad”….
The Lakewood PD is severely undermanned.
We are now a city of 110,000+ people covering 25 square miles.
Appx 350 officers need to man 3 shifts.
Subtract Officers on Vacation, Out Sick, in Court etc.
Then there are the Detectives, and Supervisors ie Sergeants and Lieutenants, who don’t patrol.
