Most news sites have notices for help with suicidal thoughts accompanying any article which may be triggering for those who struggle with them. Please look into this…

This article is disturbing to many and does not belong on the Lakewood Scoop

But maybe there is a lesson – that we should all put in more effort to greet people more and nicer. We do, but whatever more we can do, is nice. I once nodded to an officer helping out with a closed street by hachnosas sefer Toorah and he nodded back to me so respectfully, I thought ‘what did I do to deserve that’, and I appreciated it – especially coming from the city’s finest! So too, if one would realize how special every person is and how much his hello touches another person’s heart, he’d utilize it more.
When you tell children they should continue making mom and dad proud – or you tell the parents they should be proud of their children (they have much to be proud of), it much appreciated.

Let’s pretend it’s 1939 and the Scoop is reporting about events in Poland. Should they exclude any stories that might be disturbing to some viewers?

The NY Slimes actually did that – to a degree; they would only report on the demise of irreligious Jews, not religious ones.

What is the difference between a “public” suicide and and a “private” suicide?

I would imagine a suicide done inside a home or shed would be more private than one outside.
