The Board of Education will be holding a services consultation meeting tomorrow, a board official tells TLS. The bi-annual meeting will focus on improving and expending the non-public services for the district, including IDEA, Title 1 and other fundamental services.
The BOE official says the board welcomes all to the public meeting and looks forward in hearing ideas on how to further expand and improve the services.
The meeting will be held at the board offices and will begin at 10:30AM.
How about a meeting about improving and expanding the services for PUBLIC schools.
Don’t we hire people to decide where money goes?
Its very nice we want public input but everyone is just going to want for themselves face reality whoever decides where money goes will take the heat!!
In recent years how did this work?

new boe, new legal team, old tricks. nothing is going to change. any funds that will be given to lakewood will be channeled not to public schools but private schools.
When adults get together to discuss how to appropriate funds for things that are important to them, they can work things out amongst themselves.
#1 if you have been attending board meetings you would be very happy with all the added services the board has announced . Get real or pay attention
Adults can get along, but when money comes into the picture it’s different, I will attend for the comedy show!!!
How about holding the meeting when people can actually attend? Morning meetings exclude too many people.
I think at end of this year we should get a chart of all serives that we’re added to n taken away!!
STop making disparaging remarks and accusations. The funds are allocated according to the State’s formula and you know it.
I too will attend. Let’s see what they do! So far, the new BOE has been very transparent and fair. Let us hope that this continues.
We need to love every child, and respect the fact that we, the taxpayers are providing the opportunity for every child to take on education.
Every child needs and deserves a good education and a good educational experience. Let us support this new BOE that has committed their time, skills, responsibility, and authority to helping all students obtain their educational goal.
#7 I know they are saying there will be new services added but until I see it happen I will think of it as lipservice.
Does anybody know how much we pay for Consulation i have seen the papers and for differnt consultant’s starting pay between $125.00 to $500.00 per hour ang you can get the figures it’s public information
