The Board of Education has hired a new Business Administrator at last night’s meeting. Bill Thomson, and auditor turned Business Administrator, has been voted into the job at a rate of $165,000 annually. Thomson will be replacing the 3 year administrator Robert Finger who abruptly resigned in September for reasons not made public.
The Board voted 6-2 on the new position, with the two nay-votes coming from Board President Leonard Thomas and Ada Gonzalez.
Thomson will begin his new job in February of 2011, when the interim adminstrator’s contract expires.

$165,000 annually that’s allot of money, why are they giving him such a big salary when people are struggling to pay their mortgage.
to #1: people don’t want to do difficult jobs especially ones that people are always criticizing for 30,000 a year. You have to pay people the going rate!
thats crazy for starting position
what about the govs pay caps??????
hep let him do his job thats the price
thats not our problem
you get what you pay for. stop crying how much he makes
if he cuts the budgt by a million dollars its worht it.
