Baruch Dayan Ha’emes: Seretz Vishnitz Rebbe Zatzal

IMG-20150623-WA0100The Seretz Vishnitz Rebbe, HaGaon HaRav Eliezer Hager Zatzal was Niftar a short time ago, YWN reports. 

The Rebbe has been in and out of the hospital for various issues, and reportedly recently suffered a heart attack.

The Rebbe was approximately 90 years old.

    I was by him many times a real tzadik of yesteryear
    He would sleep maybe two hours a night and learned shas many times, but very humble and discreet
    He went out of his way to avoid any machlokes and was very warm towards any yid frum or not
    may he be a melietz yosher for us all

  2. Yossel, I see you really knew him. I grew up going to him and was by him in Haifa and in tzfat. He was a special person, very soft spoken person who always smiled and made everyone feel special and loved. I will miss calling him for advise and brochos. Yehi zichro Boruch.
