Baruch Dayan He’emes.
BDE. For all those that knew R: Mordechai were just fascinated by his effort he showed to come to shul for every tefilah possible despite the tremendous amount of koach it took out of him. His mesiras nefesh will always be etched into my mind forever. BDE.
R’ Avi we are all with u in this tzar, u should only here from simchas!! UMOCHO HASHEM DIMOH!!!
avi now i know where you got the labadikit when ever you talk about torah your father should be a maylitz yoisher for us all
R’ Mordche, as some of us know, was never really a businessman. He basically Learnt all day, every day, while his wife ran the dress store. He was a massive Talmid Chochom who knew vast areas of shas Ba’al Peh. Yehi Zichro Boruch.
I remember seeing R’ Mordechai zt”l in shul many years ago while I was growing up in Flatbush. The man was an example of a tzadik from a previous generation. A tremendous talmid chochom yet such an anav! The word “kavod” did not exist for this giant of a person. One of the last pieces of the old yeshivaleit has left us today. May he be a meilitz yosher for us all.
My heart breaks for you Avi. May your father be a meilitz yoisher for you and your own mishpacha, and your father ztl’s entire mishpacha. Your father should go to the kisei hakovod and ask the RBSO to give you Avi all that you need and so richly deserve.
We had the z’chus to see R’ Mordche once or twice/yr when he stayed By R’ Avi. He was a picture of just a poshut, simple Yid. Its not like he was an anav, he really thought of himself as a reg guy. But, when u spoke to him, in any inyan, he just knew ah velt about everything. A real, real tzaddik. Real, real old-school. He was mamesh ah Fahrtzeiteshe, alteh Telzer. T’N’T’B’H’.
Where are they sitting Shivah? When are the תפילות?
