  1. He was one of the the Biggest Osek Bitzarchie Tzedaka in our generation. Discreetly he raised astronomical amounts of Money for Tzedaka and Almonos and Yesomim he was a true Tzaddik.

  2. Barach Dayan Ha’emes! He was such a tzaddik! My family always goes to kosher village, and whenever he was there, he always wore a smile, no matter how sick he was. He always said good morning/afternoon, how are you?!, how is your family doing?! with a big smile. Before he got sick he wore funny ties to cheer everyone up! He was filled with simchas hachayim! Bruce- your surely be missed! May we only hear of simchos, and no more tzaros!

  3. my family knew him for 30 years–all the the good written about him is true—-i remember him as a wonderful character—who made great sandwiches in his denver store—he and jeannie raised a lovely family-and he will be sorely missed

  4. late at night after everyone else left the shul,he would walk around straightening all the chairs and putting all the seforim away in their proper places. he had tremendous respect for the House of Hashem.

  5. He was also the father-in-law of R’ Yitzy Glatzer, who lives in Lakewood and whose wife has a very successful and sought after playgroup for many years.

  6. Bruce was a wonderful , kind man and a really special brother-in-law. Our hearts go out to my sister, Jeanne, and to all of her wonderful children and grandchildren.

  7. Watching Bruce climb the steps to the shul, seeing the obvious pain that he was in, having to stop at each landing to catch his breath was a real lesson to all of the importance that he attached to teffilah betzibur.

  8. he was a wonderful man , i remember him from denver ,he had a kosher supermarket there, he treated everyone ,children ,adults , that came in to his store with such dignity and respect ,something not so common these days, we will miss him, we will miss seeing such good yiiden

  14. We will all miss him very much. I was proud and happy to see the hundreds of people who came out for the levaya to give him Kavod Acharon. He never wanted recognition but he deserved it. May he be a Po’el Yeshuos with Hashem for us all.

  15. Reb Bruce – When you get upstairs your good friend Rabbi Gutman Z’L (from Denver / Lakewood) will be there to meet you. You two always had a great relationship and were both always helping the Klal. Now you will be able to sit and learn Torah together forever.

    We will all miss you!

  16. Bruce was a wonderful man. He touched every person he met. His warm personality and constant smile made everyone feel welcome.

  20. My beloved uncle Bruce, who took me and my siblings on beautiful day trips around Denver, who took beautiful pictures of the Netanya sunset at my wedding, who taught my soccer-loving-Israeli husband with patience and love how to watch and enjoy an American Football game (and the only person in the world for whom said husband would wear a black hat to shul). This is how an uncle should be. All my love to my favorite aunt Jeanne, my beloved cousins and their amazing families. Baruch Dayan Emet.

  21. Bruce, we will miss you. You were my best cashier….remembered my phone number…… Wore ties every day…. Real mentch….he NEVER let me bag the items. He always wanted to do it….we used to have good laughs together. We already miss you.

  22. I Am A Yungerman In Bmg For The Last Eight Years And To Me Bruce Was A Huge Inspiration! I Knew That Davening By Rabbi Gisinger Would Cost Me A Donation For A Widow Yet I Was Always Happy To Give Bruce. He Told Of Months Ago That He Raised Well Over FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS! also he arranged the chairs and put away seforim. anyone who knew him loved him. i am truly saddened. may the family find comfort in the good name he left.

  23. One’s passing naturally evokes fond memories and memories from others. In the case of my wonderful brother-in-law Bruce z”l, I am genuinely amazed at how overwhelmingly positive he was. He was unassuming, loving, caring, totally dedicated on every level to Yiddishkeit and a legend in facilitating Tzedakah. This wasn’t sometimes or usually…it was always, day after day, year after year. I was fortunate to know him since I was a boy and have to observe that over and beyond all his other good qualities, he was a remarkable husband to Jeanne and father and grandfather to his entire beautiful family. He will always be remembered and revered for the good deeds he did.

  24. • somehow, as fate had it, i knew bruce olev hashalom even before my sisterinlaw jeanne did. we davened at the same shul in the bronx, and my mother had died at an early age. i was a little girl and bruce, who was in his teens, would always make a point of coming over each shabbat to cheer me up, give me candy. it was incredible that years later, in texas, we met again and had the privelige of being in the same family these past many decades. you were a rare wonderful person, bruce. my heart goes out to jeanne.

  25. His son Avi is the Framer and I have done business with him for many years. He is the most honest person I have ever dealt with and now I see where his values come from. Everyone who dealt with Avi for the past 2 years knew more about his father’s day to day status than about the job they were on. He would drop everything to answer a call from his father even in the middle of meetings and the love and respect was obvious.

Avi you will be repaid 10 times for the care you took of your father these past Years and it still won’t come close to what you deserve
