The Brick Township Police Department along with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating a fatal hit and run crash that occurred yesterday on Rt. 35.

The crash occurred on Route 35 south bound near the intersection of Bay Blvd.

The suspect vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian and then fled the area south bound on Route 35 into Toms River.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a spruce green 1998-2001 Ford Explorer. The vehicle will have front passenger side damage and a broken front passenger side headlight (pictured).
