Lakewood Police are once again investigating reports of multiple vehicles being broken into over Shabbos.
The burglaries occurred in the Williams Street Area.
CSI is investigating due to the amount of vehicles hit.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Lakewood Police Department.
Were they “broken” into or was it the usual, “I didn’t lock the doors”, “I left my stuff in the car”, “I left my keys in the car”?
Park it, Take your stuff out, Lock it. Easy peasy. Takes a minute or two.
Does insurance (home owners or auto) pay out claims on articles stolen when your vehicle is unlocked?
No. They check the computer. If you lied and said you have auto-lock, they’ll drop you. If they break a window and you have an alarm, they’ll cover it and whatever was taken, after you’re deductible.
