PHOTOS & VIDEO: [Video updated 10:42 p.m.] Police are searching for three black males suspected of stabbing a man on River Avenue and Chestnut Street a short time ago. At approximately 8:45 p.m., the three men approached the victim at the check cashing place attempting to rob him, sources say. The men then proceeded to stab the victim and fled.
Two Frum EMT’s eating in the nearby Rimon Restaurant immediately responded to the scene and adminstered first aid to the stabbing victim.
K-9 units were called in to assist in the search of the men.
Police, CIU, the Prosecutor’s office and Lakewood’s Detective Bureau are investigating.
The victim suffered two stab wounds, in the arm and chest, sources say, and was transported via EMS Medics to Jersey Shore Medical Center in stable condition. TLS-50/TLS-89/TLS-CCP/TLS-SY/TLS-SR.

Lakewood Police needs to bring back and establish a new K9 team, think of how quickly these K9 Officers could have caught the suspects that did this crime. We need to stop calling the county and other towns for our problems, we need to solve these crimes and find people quickly on our own.

Awesome! Let’s layoff 5 cops! and while we’re at it layoff the DPW workers so the town does an even worse job plowing. This town is ridiculous.
We can layoff the DPW and replace them with the day laborers at a cheaper rate of pay and get a better job done. I saw alot of day laborers working real hard during that snow storm shoveling driveways and sidewalks with just shovels!
