At least three people were injured, one seriously, in an accident in Lakewood this evening.

The five-vehicle accident occurred shortly before 5PM at the intersection of Route 70 and New Hampshire Avenue.

Multiple Hatzolah and EMS members responded to the scene, including multiple paramedics.

As of 5:15 PM, three patients were transported to JSUMC, one of the the patients with paramedics on board.

Lakewood police department’s Traffic Safety Division has responded to the scene for the investigation.

Traffic has been shut in the area. Detours are in place.
