Are you experiencing issues with Verizon Wireless service in Lakewood the last couple of days? [Update – Verizon Responds]

Many Lakewood residents are complaining they have been having issues with Verizon cell service the last couple of days.

Customers are complaining they’re unable to make calls, calls being dropped, and unable to use the internet service.

In 2019, Township officials met with company representatives to discuss the ongoing issues with the service, resulting in some change. However, it appears the infrastructure cannot properly handle the explosive growth in the area, and networks are being overloaded.

TLS reached out to Verizon for comment.

  1. Yes, I am so glad you brought this up!! I have been wondering what is going on. My calls are getting dropped and people are saying they cannot hear me. Can you figure out what happened to cause this???

  2. Yes it’s been terrible lately.I’ve been having trouble making phone calls I’m not been able to get emails. Where I live I only get one bar.

  3. Something sounds fishy…All of a sudden there is a collapse. Wouldn’t suprise me if this was intentional inorder to push through more towers for future.

  4. But when Verizon WANTS to put up new cell towers to HELP better the service in Lakewood there’s a huge turnout at the planning board to fight the improvements.
    You can’t have it both ways folks….

  5. Please tell them to check again. I’ve been having problems… Even today. If so many people are having issues, it’s a pretty poor response to say “all is good”

  6. Call Verizon customer service personally and ask them specifically to open a ticket on your issue your having, the more calls they get the more serious they take the problem
