[AUDIO BELOW] Close to 2,000 peopleĀ attended the Levaya of R’ Tzvi Hertz, the Yungerman who was suddendly Niftar at the young age of 29.
“His whole life, he strived for perfection – he was a “Oisge’arbeter Mentch”, said his father, Askan Reb Meir Hertz.
Reb Meir said over that when the Avnei Nezer was Maspid the Sfas Emes, he said the Sfas Emes was Niftar from a very rare disease, because the Sfas Emes would Daven for every sick person, so the Ribbono Shel Olam had to find a very rare Machlah which the Sfas Emes didn’t Daven for on another, in order to take him from this world.
Reb Meir said, so too was the case with R’ Tzvi Z’L, who he said used to pour his heart out any time he heard someone was sick. So the Ribbono Shel Olam found the uncommon Machlah of AVM, which through he would take back R’ Tzvi Z’L.
The 29 year old father of 4 was close to finishing Shas, said Reb Meir, and he would remember the Leshonos of each Gemara he Learned, attributing it to his tremendous Yiras Shomayim.
“He did everything to perfection”, said his father. “He was the perfect husband, the perfect father and the perfect son”, Reb Meir said through his tears.
“We’re going into Shmini Atzeres, there’s a tremendous Simchas Hatorah in Shomayim with such a Nefesh Nekiah coming up to the Yeshivah Shel Maaleh.”

Day of levaya was very dreary, it fit the mood even though it was chol hamoed. I dropped my husband off at athe levaya and it was drizzling, it continued to rain the entire time the levaya was taking place. shortly after the levaya the rain cleared up, and did not rain the rest of the day! It felt like the shamayim was crying with us.
#5 Thanks for the info.
