Another Lakewood family had their valuable wiped out this weekend, police say.
While the homeowners were away for the weekend, a burglar made forced entry through a rear door – a style authorities have repeatedly seen over the past few months.
The burglar then proceeded to grab the valuables, which police estimated at about $100,000.
There was apparently no alarm, police said.
“Why is this guy still on the loose?” a frustrated neighbor told TLS. “There’s no reason this town isn’t flooded with cops. If they need to bring in additional resources, then so be it, but this is just getting ridiculous.”
Police did not say if they had any leads on any suspects, but a source in the department told TLS “we are heavily working these cases.”
Lakewood’s Detective Bureau, K9 and CSI responded to the scene.

So far you have not posted any areas.
What area of town is this?
Where did this happen!?!
There are enough cops. People don’t know how to keep their places and things safe. I mean if ur going to keep so much jewelry cash etc at home you shud be smart enough to have a real good safe (i.e. In ground). And a safety deposit box at the bank.
My parents were robbed last night on idalia ave off of chestnut. Not the house which is spoke of in this article. But it was scary to walk into there house because I was watching there cat. The worst part that makes me angry is that they broke in there garage door which had to make alot of noise and no one saw or heard anything. They trashed there house. We all live together in this town please watch out for each other. Even if you are not sure call police. Just think it could have been your mom or dad house.
כי לא במותו יקח הכל….
Police do your job highly and respected let get this guy who been hitting Jackson and Lakewood we must catch him put him or her in jail and make community safe again. We must catch them and find all the belonging and return to the owners
Why can’t the cops make a sting operation? Let them hide out in a dark house making it look like no one is home. (In a house which is likely to be targeted, quite block, dark, big house….
We need a good community help if you see something unusual call the police it will help catch the robber and we are still trying to observed the robber activity on the community you can call the lcsw too
