Jackson Township officials have announced today that they have closed on a much anticipated land swap agreement with a private school developer, preserving over 30 acres of land near Leesville Road as open space.
Mayor Reina stated that ”by closing on this property, Jackson township has eliminated potential development on this land for eternity. Councilman Burnstein added “Mayor Reina and the entire Council is committed to preserving more open space and we look forward to working on more such purchases in the near future.”
Thankfully Jackson will preserve some land that will not be developed and remain open space for nature and people to enjoy in the future
Great!! Lakewood should have done the same. Open space is needed. Fresh air.
Thank you Mayor Reina for sticking to your words and putting your foot down. This is hopefully just the beginning to land preservation in our county
