The Yoshon Network has released its 5787 General Chodosh Cut-Off Start Date Chart for the USA, dated November 1.

The chart lists the last packing date on which each type of product remains yoshon – items packed on or before the listed date are yoshon. (These are packing dates, not Best By dates.) Among the key dates: fresh daily bakery items purchased by September 11; pasta and noodles packed by September 9; general wheat products and oats by October 1; barley products by October 15; and malt-based products and beer by December 31 (tentative). Pure spelt, bulgur and rye from North America are winter crops and are always yoshon, and dates marked with an asterisk are tentative and subject to change.
