The Township last night approved the placement of 4-way stop signs at the intersection of 2nd Street and Monmouth Avenue.
The intersection, which currently has stop signs between west-east, was especially dangerous for drivers driving eastbound on Second Street, due to the curve on Monmouth Avenue southbound.
The stop signs are expected to be installed in the coming weeks.
Rules for 4-way:
The driver of a vehicle approaching an intersection shall yield the right of way to a vehicle which has entered the intersection. When two vehicles enter an intersection at the same time, the driver of the vehicle on the left shall yield the right of way to the driver of the vehicle on the right.

I think the next project should be, teaching people how to use 4 way stop signs.
Wow you will not be able to drive in town at all w/o hitting a 4 way stop on Monmouth Ave at all. That is ludacris
Add a light instead.
So many stop signs have caused so much more traffic. On a green light it would clear all the cars.
Need a traffic light coming out of forest park what a night made it is trying to get out onto pine st
ppl in this town wait until the stop sign to turns green
No mention of how dangerous for pedestrians that whole intersection is.
Please remove the 3 way stop sign on 2nd & Lexington. It’s totally unnecessary.
