200 Bikers Arrive To Camp Simcha

PHOTOS: [NEW PHOTOS] 200 bikers arrived to Camp Simcha at about 2:30 PM this afternoon after riding 150 miles to raise money for Chai Lifeline. Board of  Education member Joel Schwartz was one of those who made the trip.

Joel says it was very stressful ride, but says the thought of the children at the finish line is what got him through.

“This was the greatest physical challenges I ever faced”, Joel tells TLS, “but seeing the campers celebrate upon our entry made it all worthwhile.”

The bikers raised a total of $1,771,051.96, nearly doubling their goal of $1 million. Last year, the ride brought in about $550,000. Photos: TLS & Lenny Groysman.

  2. The riders did a great job. Keep in mind these 2 days were challenging and thats with some training. The challenge and pain these kids and the families go thru every day, without any pre training. The chizuk the riders give to the kids and families is tremendous.
