Two Bachurim, one of whom are from Lakewood, were robbed in Hillside, NJ, by two others while walking from Yeshivah to their dormitory, TLS has learned.
The boys, approximately 18 years old, from Yeshivah Eitz Chaim of Hillside, were walking in the area of Maple and Clark Avenues at about 12 AM Wednesday, when they were approached by two black males, one of whom claimed to have a gun, sources say.
The suspects demanded the boys’ wallets, and made them empty their pockets.
One of the boys emptied his pockets and gave the suspects what he had – a broken cell phone he used for an alarm clock, as well as some popcorn. The other boy said he had nothing, and ran off. When the other victim turned around and followed, the suspects ran off in another direction.
Police were called and swarmed the area for the suspects, but came up with negative results.
The police in response have increased patrols in the area of the Yeshivah, which consists of approximately 40 Bachurim.

Poor boys! They must be traumatized! I hope these animals roaming the streets get locked up for a long time!
I think they were after the popcorn!
