  1. Thank you Chief Lawson for sending Sgt. Work, Ptl. Vogel, Ptl. Berdge, and Ptl. Menck to our boys camp. You guys are the true professionals and we are lucky to have you.

  2. to all you non likers, at least one segment of the population still looks up to the police.
and it didn’t cost anything if they were already working…..
great job by all from LPD,,,,.

  3. I drove by the trip, and it was truly amazing!! The officers were keeping a tight eye on everything, while the camps staff were following on bikes and stoped and waited with boys that were too exhausted to continue or their bikes broke. You guys (specificaly the police officers) ROCK!!!!

  4. 4 police officers ?? we barely have enough police to protect the town but we waste 4 officers for this. and who pays for it ? me the lakewood taxpayer. dont i have a say ??

  5. Someone is doing something good for the town (yes its a good thing to keep young boys entertained), and all you people can do is complain. Lakewoods police officers are amazing. And, we must thank them, and Chief Lawson, for providing this service to the camps of lakewood. We really appreciate it!!!!

  6. 140 kids= a lot of tax payers. 4 Police Officers to make sure all the kids are safe, I think they were doing above and beyond their job.
    Thank you LPD

  7. Many thanks to the LPD for giving of yourselves and your time to ensure that our kids enjoyed a GREAT day. Based on my son’s reactions, I’m not conviced that the highlight of the trip wasn’t the police presence itself! And of course a tremendous thank-you to R’ Y H Teitelbaum and all his staff for arranging a phenomenal summer for our children

  8. to all those who keep asking “who paid for this” I don’t see you complaining about the police presence at all the blue claws games. It’s only when the Jewish community, who pay most of the taxes here, benefit from the police you ask who paid for this? I’ll tell you who paid, the same people who pay most of the taxes in this town. Get off of it already.
