Reader-Submitted: I have a family member who hired someone on Sunday before Yom Tov to pick up 10 boxes for her business and to deliver it somewhere. To make a long story short, somehow the delivery was dropped off on the street it seems in the 46th st bet. 12 and 13th Avenue area (Brooklyn) and someone else went to pick them up and they were gone.
This took place at approximately 5:00 pm in the afternoon. This printing job was worth 10 thousand dollars (but to other people worthless). If there is any way to put out a message that anybody that knows anything of the whereabouts of ten boxes of printed books from that day could please let us know, it would be a great Mitzva. If you could do this it would be a great act of Tzedaka as this family member of mine can not afford to lose that kind of money or even a fraction Of that.
We are offering $1,000 dollars no questions asked for anyone who will return the boxes fully intact and usable.
Thank you very much in advance for Your concern, Gut Shabbos and Tizku L’mitzvos. 732-691-3985.
What “books”? A little more detail would be helpful
Who said the receiver of the books is responsible, maybe the printer/shipper is responsible & you won’t be out the money. Check with your local Beis Din.
