New Jersey law enforcement officials and Jewish community representatives gathered for a special High Holiday briefing focused on security and preparedness ahead of the upcoming Yamim Noraim.

The briefing was put together by the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, New Jersey State Police (NJSP), and the Jewish Troopers Association.

Among the speakers were New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin, NJSP Superintendent Jeanne Hengemuhle, FBI Special Agent in Charge Stephanie Roddy, and NJ Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness Director Laurie R. Doran.

Jewish community and law enforcement representatives also participated, including Jewish Troopers Association President Lt. Marc Zislin, NJSP Chaplains Rabbi Yosef Carlebach and Rabbi Yossi Hershkowitz, and Satmar representative Yoli Friedman.

The briefing provided an opportunity for law enforcement and Jewish community leaders to discuss security concerns and preparedness as Jewish communities across New Jersey prepare for the High Holiday season.
