There is a story with Rabbi Yaakov Kamenetsky
זכר צדיק וקדוש לברכה
He was traveling in a car and they came to an intersection and there was a school bus also at the same intersection.
The bus driver was waiting to make a turn and Rabbi Kamenetsky says to his driver, first let’s wait for the bus driver to make his turn because they are a Tzibur (a lot of people).
Did Rabbi Kamenetsky ever drive?
Do you mean to ask that maybe it’s better to go first if you have the right of way, so as not to confuse drivers? I’m sure he took that into account. The way I heard the story (from R’ Pesach Krohn) was that the car was in the lane next to the bus at a red light, and as soon as it turned green, the diver was going to try to get head of the bus (maybe it merged into one lane over the intersection), and R’ Yaakov said to let the bus go first out of respsect for a large group
But to answer your actual question, I doubt he ever drove; he came here from Europe after the war, and being a rabbi, people were always driving him. (Though there would be nothing wrong if he did..)
