(UPDATED) PD has just responded to the block of Bais Shalom for reports of several vehicles illegally parkedĀ and causing traffic delays. We would like to remind those who attend the Bais Shalom building of BMG, that the the new traffic signs are not merely a suggestion. The following are the new parking rules, which have gone into effect approximately two weeks ago as reported here on TLS: Parking isĀ no longer permitted on Clifton Avenue between 9th and 10th, and on 9th and 10th Streets between CliftonĀ and MadisonĀ AvenuesĀ during the following hours: Sunday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. -9:15 a.m., Sunday-Thursday, 1:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m., Sunday-Thursday, 3:30 p.m.-5:15 p.m. and Friday, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. So unless your vehicle is invisible, if it’s parked illegally, you will be issued a summons.
U/D 11:41 a.m. Many readers have requested that TLS also notify the community that the Police Department has ticketedĀ severalĀ drivers for driving with ice or large amounts of snow on top of their vehicle. It is against the law to drive around with ice and can pose extreme danger to your fellow drivers.
here comes the string of “anti semite cops” posts… lets get one thing straight, cops enforcing the law are not anti semites, you only see them enforcing the law because you spend the majority of your time in jewish neighborhoods.
Thanks to lakewood cheder fir calling the LPD on the buchrim and youngerleit once again
should we ask the rebbeim not to park in the parking lot which is meant for bais shalom only??
ok boys be nice…….remember we walk all over on shabbos so why not an extra block during the rest of the week. Common sense.
lpd r giving tickets if u have snow on ur roof of ur car
We would like to remind the Lakewood Township that plowing snow effectively is not merely a suggestion, theory or idea – it is their obligation to us taxpayers.
Just wait till the new buiding is finished in a few months. It will be fun. 1600 seats total with 100 parking spots
moser!!!!
THANK YOU LPD. Keep it up and ticket all the “irv” guys who either can’t read or can’t get up in the morning ! Learn how to follow rules
Ty lpd u guys are great. Giving out tickets to people who don’t care about children coming and leaving school. KEEP IT UP
Ticket them ! They deserve tickets if they can’t follow a simple sign
Blame the planning board for allowing runaway development with no consideration of the effect on traffic or parking. Don’t complain about what you allow.
Due to recent weather conditions, many residents are assuming that the rules don’t apply. Bad weather is no excuse to think you are immune to the law. They still apply, and will be enforced accordingly.
#4, Inappropriate! Do not run around calling your fellow Jews “moser.” You have no proof who if anyone alerted the police.
-Instead, should be thanking TLS for reporting this story, to help prevent even more Jewish people from getting ticketed.
***Typo error, I meant #5.
Forgive me #4.
also the lpd gave tickets this morning to vehicles with snow on the roof!
this is a true sakana-danger- plz save your $ & someones life & clean your roof!
hey you who still snow or illegly parked car, you can learn now and pay for it later in life (when u meet up with god)
we know who alerted the police and it wasn’t the crossing guards or the bus drivers SHAME ON YOU!!!! do you feel better about yourself that your making headway with the cops??
we all know the parking rules but due to the weather conditions there is a lack of parking and yesterday there was no busing at all ..instead of giving people the benefit of the doubt you went ahead at the oppurtunity to call the cops and cause a hefsed mammon to yidden… velamalshinim al…….
#16 ur are right, but stupid question!! chillel hashem? when a cop drives by and see hey the jewish learning all day cant read? and when its our own kids learning in school, and your causeing a chillel hashem with the bus driver who are and arent jewish. and all the JEWS and nonjews that read this….. u tell me u ……….
You could all thank The yeshiva attorney who gets approvals for all the yeshiva buildings with 1/8 the amount of real parking needed. Just watch the new building go up.. Where will they all park?? And the new yeshiva apartment.. Where will they all park?? give us real answers!!
Don’t blame the yeshiva its time for the Cheder to build a building and move out.
Ticket them !! u park where u shouldnt u get a ticket
learning saves lives, not the LPD… let me park where i want and keep you alive!!!!
in nyc alternet side parking is suspended today even they did a way much better job cleaning the snow, so why here in lakewood with unclean roads is parking rules not suspended?
why can’t we park at the former little baseball field?
my son almost got killed yesterday, and u dont care about other jews. what has this world come to. i daven and daven for ppl like you who think they are learning to save the world but you sit inthe coffee room, or walk to delta from hrs on end….. and u think we owe u something>??%
if u suspend the parking rules In bad weather it makes it even more of a sakana for the kids , hope no one gets a tickets but if u park there u prob should &
I think all the pepwho have a problem with getting tickets should park there car In the baseball field today and they won’t have a problem for a few days bec there cars will be stuck there for at least a week ,!,;:;:&

Has anyone ever heard of a snow day? Stay inside until the road are clear.

learn to follow the rules. its a terrible sakana to the children . the cheder would love to have a new building they have a property and are just waiting for the final approval . let’s think before we build and really and truly have in mind parking , its pure chesed . in any event the baseball field should help out the matzav.
i hope by yom kipper u can say ur sorry!!!! u looked at me then drove by as fast as you can, i got all that dirty ice water all over my brand new pants. enjoy ur yom kipper!!!!
How about Car pooling,or staggering the hours
How many car accidents are there a day in Lakewood. Let the BMG boys park along those WIDE streets by the stadium and BUS ’em in.
Why don’t they make 9th & 10th (or 5th through 12th) one way? When there is parking on both sides two cars can’t get by.
