PD Enforcing New Parking Rules At Bais Shalom/Ticketing For Ice On Vehicles

sign bais shalom_wm(UPDATED) PD has just responded to the block of Bais Shalom for reports of several vehicles illegally parked and causing traffic delays. We would like to remind those who attend the Bais Shalom building of BMG, that the the new traffic signs are not merely a suggestion. The following are the new parking rules, which have gone into effect approximately two weeks ago as reported here on TLS: Parking is no longer permitted on Clifton Avenue between 9th and 10th, and on 9th and 10th Streets between Clifton and Madison Avenues during the following hours: Sunday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. -9:15 a.m., Sunday-Thursday, 1:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m., Sunday-Thursday, 3:30 p.m.-5:15 p.m. and Friday, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. So unless your vehicle is invisible, if it’s parked illegally, you will be issued a summons.

U/D 11:41 a.m. Many readers have requested that TLS also notify the community that the Police Department has ticketed several drivers for driving with ice or large amounts of snow on top of their vehicle. It is against the law to drive around with ice and can pose extreme danger to your fellow drivers.

  1. here comes the string of “anti semite cops” posts… lets get one thing straight, cops enforcing the law are not anti semites, you only see them enforcing the law because you spend the majority of your time in jewish neighborhoods.

  2. Thanks to lakewood cheder fir calling the LPD on the buchrim and youngerleit once again
should we ask the rebbeim not to park in the parking lot which is meant for bais shalom only??

  3. We would like to remind the Lakewood Township that plowing snow effectively is not merely a suggestion, theory or idea – it is their obligation to us taxpayers.

  4. Blame the planning board for allowing runaway development with no consideration of the effect on traffic or parking. Don’t complain about what you allow.

  5. Due to recent weather conditions, many residents are assuming that the rules don’t apply. Bad weather is no excuse to think you are immune to the law. They still apply, and will be enforced accordingly.

#4, Inappropriate! Do not run around calling your fellow Jews “moser.” You have no proof who if anyone alerted the police.
-Instead, should be thanking TLS for reporting this story, to help prevent even more Jewish people from getting ticketed.

  6. also the lpd gave tickets this morning to vehicles with snow on the roof!

this is a true sakana-danger- plz save your $ & someones life & clean your roof!

  7. we know who alerted the police and it wasn’t the crossing guards or the bus drivers SHAME ON YOU!!!! do you feel better about yourself that your making headway with the cops??
we all know the parking rules but due to the weather conditions there is a lack of parking and yesterday there was no busing at all ..instead of giving people the benefit of the doubt you went ahead at the oppurtunity to call the cops and cause a hefsed mammon to yidden… velamalshinim al…….

  8. #16 ur are right, but stupid question!! chillel hashem? when a cop drives by and see hey the jewish learning all day cant read? and when its our own kids learning in school, and your causeing a chillel hashem with the bus driver who are and arent jewish. and all the JEWS and nonjews that read this….. u tell me u ……….

  9. You could all thank The yeshiva attorney who gets approvals for all the yeshiva buildings with 1/8 the amount of real parking needed. Just watch the new building go up.. Where will they all park?? And the new yeshiva apartment.. Where will they all park?? give us real answers!!

  10. in nyc alternet side parking is suspended today even they did a way much better job cleaning the snow, so why here in lakewood with unclean roads is parking rules not suspended?
