EXCLUSIVE: [PHOTOS & LETTER]This afternoon, Bnei Brak’s Foreign Affairs Commissioner Eli Hoder (pictured right) faxed a handwritten letter by Torah giant Hagaon Reb Chaim Kanievsky Shlita to the Kletzky family. Upon reading the letter written just a few hours ago, Leiby’s father, R’ Nachman, broke down in tears.
R’ Eli Hoder was on hand while the Gadol – who very rarely writes letters – was sitting deep in thought as he penned the carefully calculated each word of the one-sentence letter.
Translated, the letter reads as follows: It’s with much anguish that we heard about the tragedy which befell you, we don’t understand the calculation in it, and it is definitely a calculation from a previous ‘Gilgul’, may Hashem console you among the mourners of Zion and Yerushalayim and may you see Leiby again at T’chias Hameisim speedily.

Why wasn’t the letter hand delivered?
I hope Leiby’s father gets the original. Getting the original will surely be a big nechama for the family.
